Diving
Most of the diving in Anilao consists of coral slopes or steps of small drop-offs and shallow coral gardens among sandy patches. There is awide variety smaller fish life and there are crinoids and lots of nudibranchs to be found at almost all dive sites.
There are some marine sanctuaries and a few sites have fixed mooring buoys to minimize anchor damage. As it is with most open-water area, most of the dives have currents, some of the quite fierce. There are also many shallow areas that can be snorkelled, but with strong currents very common, it is wise to snorkel with "boat cover". The best season for diving here is between November and May.
